Why We Need to Use Fuel Additives

Highly specialized additives are in every drop of gasoline or diesel your vehicle's engine consumes. Surprised?

Some people speak critically of  "additives", but their vehicles wouldn't run a mile without them. Additives work to make fuel better in a whole range of ways.

• They increase octane for higher performance and power.
• They improve fuel economy.
• They reduce environment harming emissions and smoke.

Some of the same additives found in gasoline and diesel you buy at the pump are contained in the Dyno-tab® Fuel Additive product line. So when you add Dyno-tab® to your fuel tank, you are simply adding more of the additives you need.  Does Dyno-tab® improve the quality of fuel?  The answer is YES.

The fuel coming from the pump has been additized to a certain extent, but often petroleum companies add only the minimum mandated by law and not what your vehicle needs in order to run at peak performance.  In the case of older model engines, you may need more of certain additives to get the most out of your engine, while reducing harmful emissions and smoke.

There are many quality bottled additives that also work to deliver these same benefits. The major difference is that these products take the same additives and dissolve them in a solvent - often as simple as paint thinner - and then put them into a plastic bottle for sale to the consumer.
