Company History
Dyno-tab® is manufactured by Chemplex Automotive Group, Inc., a privately held U.S. corporation founded in 1992 in California. Chemplex began with a traditional liquid line of products for the professional technician and in 1998 introduced a fuel additive in solid form that was sold in international markets under various private label brands. The Dyno-tab® brand was introduced in 2000 at the AAPEX show in Las Vegas.
CEO and Founder
James R. Grebe has a distinguished career in the automotive aftermarket. After receiving his undergraduate degree in political science and an MBA in international marketing, he joined Chevron where he served in various marketing capacities, including a strategic analyst assignment where he formulated national pricing strategies. Additionally, Mr. Grebe attended a specialized school on rotary engines and worked directly to coordinate the national shopper evaluation program.

While at STP, Mr. Grebe's extensive experience in the automotive and industrial chemical category was augmented by his participation in various Paramins' schools on diesel fuels and his coordination of testing programs with Southwest Research. Mr. Grebe joined Wynn Oil Company in California as Vice President of Sales and Marketing where he managed the U.S. distributor network and planned sales and marketing strategies that were implemented worldwide. Mr. Grebe innovated and holds a patent for equipment and a process to recycle used coolant. |
Location and Logistics
With manufacturing and distribution in Southern California, we are strategically located to minimize shipping costs. Major ocean ports and two international airports are all within approximately one hour driving time from our La Habra facility.
Safety and Regulatory
Chemplex complies with worker compensation laws and meets or beats the minimum requirements for the security and safety of our employees. Chemplex provides a comprehensive health insurance program and conducts regular emergency and safety training sessions. Employees are certified for forklift safety. Chemplex has on staff employees trained and certified for handling and shipping dangerous goods in the US and worldwide.
